Something else I'm missing

Today my husband is taking my son to the zoo for the first time. And I'm going to miss it :( His friend, who has free passes, is taking his son, and all 4 boys are meeting up there. I'm so disappointed that I won't be there to experience the first time my son sees animals and watch his reaction. Don't get me wrong, I think it's wonderful that my husband is so involved. I'm glad that he and his buddy will be hanging out and that my son is able to interact with other children. I just wish I could be there. That's all I'm saying...

they'll be so many more "firsts" that you won't know what to do. If you spent all your time watching your son do stuff for the very first time, you'd never get anything else done, and I have a feeling that he'd grow up with some sort of complex.

AWWWW... If i were there, I would give you a hug... It's tough I know.. But there will always be otherthings... Be the one to take him to the FarmPark, or the beach, or to the candy store!

Nick, I'm sure my son will have all sorts of complexes, so I guess I'll stop obsessing about this particular issue :)

LW: Thanks! I know that I'll be the both myself and my husband will miss things. He just hasn't missed anything yet. And that pisses me off :) I accept your e-hug! Thanks!!

Red, that's a tough one. I honestly don't know what I'd do.

Mel, thanks for the offer, but I think I'll pass...

Well, Mel, I started down that road and changed my mind halfway through the comment. I have this thought that Lo Lo is like 2 seconds from flying off the handle (because of her deep rooted love for her son)and I figured I'd let someone else step in front of the bullett for once.

Melly, thanks. You're right. I am grateful for the time I have with him. And I know that even if I was a stay-at-home mom, I'd still miss stuff. I mean, I do have to use the bathroom at some point during the day :)
